Ford Motor Company was on the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) campus showcasing both their Ford GT Supercar and the Ford GT350R during FAMU’s Homecoming, Friday, October 21, 2016. Both vehicles were parked in front of the Alfred Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center so students could meet and greet Ford Company representatives.

Levasseur Tellis, Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering electrical engineering alumnus (B.S., 1996 and M.S., 1998) was joined by FAMU alumni from the School of Business and Industry (SBI) as well as Computer Information Systems (CIS) who were on hand to speak with potential students, alumni, and faculty. Mr. Tellis, an 18-year employee of Ford Motor Company, has recruited many FAMU-FSU College of Engineering students who sought engineering internships and full-time employment with the company.

Ford Motor Company and FAMU have prized their mutually beneficial relationship for several years. During this time, Ford has sponsored several scholarships totaling over $50,000 and continues to recruit Engineering and School of Business graduates for Internships and Full-time openings.
