The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering to host its own Blackboard Site

Beginning with the fall 2016 semester, all face-to-face courses taught at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering will be hosted on its own Blackboard site, A group of engineering faculty along with Mr. Robert Seniors (FAMU), Mr. Robby Fuselier (FSU), and Mr. Gary Eggebraaten (CMS) have been preparing for this transition since the fall of 2015. Several courses were piloted on the engineering Blackboard page during the spring 2016 semester and all summer engineering courses were hosted on it.

Engineering students are able to access the site using the login credentials from their home institution. The new site solves a long standing problem at the College of Engineering of having to enroll students from one university into the other university's Blackboard database. Now, students are automatically enrolled into an engineering Blackboard course when they register for it on iRattler or myFSU. The new site will also allow the College of Engineering to customize the Blackboard experience towards engineering students.

Engineering students taking main campus classes will need to access their main campus Blackboard page for those courses. Additionally, online only engineering courses and engineering students on the FSU Panama City Campus will still utilize

Anyone needing help accessing or using the new site may enter a CMS WorkQueue request at, call the CMS Response Center at 850-410-6446, or stop by the CMS office at A332 (M-F, 8-5). CMS asks that you be sure to indicate that you are reporting a Blackboard issue, and be as specific as possible (course ID, user name, etc., as appropriate) so they can get to work on the matter as soon as possible.
